Water features tend to be built on either pebble pool or steel bases, and recycle the water that is held in the base, so usually do not need a separate water supply. Features are often lit, making your garden an attraction even after dark.

Of course a water feature could be a traditional garden pond, which needs to designed, taking into account the types of pond life and water plants that you would like to live in your pond. Size and depth will need to be worked out carefully and appropriate liners fitted to ensure longevity through all weather.
